"I cannot see what useful service clamping firms provide," he says. ''And I fail to see how they can justify the amount of money they charge in release fees.
"Sometimes it can take hours to get a lorry released after it has been clamped."

His agency drivers who flout the law without very good reason have their pay docked, OT, if they refuse to pay, can be struck off the agency's books.
If the driver was genuinely not at fault, then an alternative approach is to see if the client would be prepared to split the fee with the agency.
