Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

iE IDEA of holding the RHA Irma' conference abroad has 3en kicked around for years. It as once suggested even that a ler should be chartered for a uise around Britain — a vhibitively expensive frolic. Some of the objections to an irerseas conference were that (1) it had never been done before; (2) it was inappropriate to a domestic industry; (3) delegates could not easily keep in telephonic touch with their businesses; administrative difficulties were too great; (5) it would be almost impossible to secure guest speakers and (6) coverage by Press and the broadcasting services would be seriously affected. These impediments have been swept aside.

The conference has always been regarded as an important public relations exercise. In fact it has attracted little attention from the national newspapers, although it has done better with the regional Press and television and radio stations. Any loss of publicity by going for a week in November to upmarket Ma rbella on the Costa del Sol will hardly be grievous.

The Spanish expedition is yet another welcome example of RHA members unhitching the horse from the cart and catching up with the 20th century before the 21st century overtakes them. Ole!
