Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE HERON Corporation has expanded its interests in road haulage by taking over Greenwoods Transport from Amey Roadstone for an undisclosed sum.

Southampton-based Greenwoods is being merged with Baileys of Westbury, an existing Heron haulage subsidiary, on February 25 to form a combined operation of around 260 vehicles — 60 from Baileys, 200 from Greenwoods. Both companies will retain their trading names.

Baileys has four centres at Westbury, Rochdale, West Thurrock and Edinburgh, and these will combine with the seven centres of Greenwoods at Southampton, Hoddesdon, Birmingham, Warrington, Newcastle, Warboys, and Rutherglen (near Glasgow).

Heron is providing full backing for the business and says this will allow it to develop up-todate and cost-effective methods for distribution and warehousing.
