AThe British Institute of Management and

the Confederation of British Industry jointly sponsor a Management Consulting Services Bureau which has details of over 1.200 consultancy organizations in the UK and new names are being added at a rate of about 20 per month.

The aim of the bureau is to help companies to choose a management consultant with the expertise to deal with a particular problem or series of problems. Once the nature of the problem has been identified three or four names will be suggested: the final choice is always left to the company itself.

The services of the bureau are available without charge to any company whether they are members of the BIM or CBI or not.

These two organizations also jointly publish a booklet entitled Notes on the Selection and Effective Use of Management Consulting Services.

The booklet and details of Management Consulting Services can be obtained by writing to: The Information Bureau, Management House, Parker Street, London, W.C.2.
