the coaches which have been hired to the London Transport Executive to supplement .Lonelon's bus fleet will be withdrawn. The coaches have been helping out in London for nearly two years, and at the peak. more than 560 vehicles were on hire. The whole scheme, which was administered on behalf of the private owners by the Passenger Vehicle Operators Association, has worked well. and each coach has averaged 60-80 miles a day.
