Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BRITISH GAS parent Centrica has introduced a permit-to-drive scheme for all of its employees who drive company vehicles or thcir own vehicles on business.

More than 3,500 drivers covered by the scheme will be required to go online to sign the company's Safe Driving Pledge and complete a one-hour 'risk foundation' training programme provided by Interactive Driving Systems. The programme includes three modules based on Centrica's fleet policy, health and safety policy and driver handbook.

As well as ensuring that all drivers know the company rules, the scheme will help protect Centrica against liability and ensure that drivers look after their vehicles.

• Since 2 April, 0-licence holders have been allowed to employ examiners to carry out goods vehicle driving tests for their own employees.
