• The potential for a wheel-loss incident to cause multiple injuries hit the media last week when a double-decker bus shed a front offside wheel near Harrogate. The wheel careered into a car, seriously injuring its elderly driver, but the bus passengers escaped unhurt — this time.
Funds are still urgently needed for research to crack the wheel loss problems.
