• Wallace Arnold's 1990 record-breaking order for 52 Plaxton/Volvo BlOM coaches has been expanded. Following an upturn in bookings, seven more new coaches are being bought and at least three extra D-reg Volvos will be retained.
The new vehicles will include five of the first Plaxton-bodied Mercedes 0303s to be built, and a pair of Van Hool-bodied Daf SB3000s which are already in service on British tours.
