• Following the successful management training conference held by the Road Transport Industry Training Board for Northern Ireland in February (CM, March 1), the Board has now announced pilot schemes of management training. The subjects covered include "Costing Techniques", "Financial Accounting and Rate Structure" and "Management in the Road Haulage Industry", with Mr. Reginald P. Block, management consultant as speaker. The venues include Londonderry, Craigavon,Ballymena and Belfast.

In addition, a one-day seminar is to be held at Belfast on June 4 when Mr. George Wilmot of London University and Mr. John Silberman, managing director, Brent Group of Companies Ltd., will speak on "The Economics of Transport" with special reference to management training, and "How to operate Transport".
