AFTER the talking weighing machine and the musical cash register, now the talking fuel pump. It is on the Kysor radiatorshutter stand at the Motor Show and I was invited along for a chat.
If given the necessary information, Derrick Derv, as the pump is known, will tell an operator what he is likely to save by using Kysor shutters. While working out the figures in his head, Derrick will give a rundown on the benefits of radiator shutters.
For entertainment, though, I commend the Lucas car stand where "a talkative robot with the looks and the inimitable drawl of Carry On comedian Kenneth Williams will chatter away all day long with an indefatigable determination and a touch of whimsy that no salesman or public relations man could hope to match".
I would expect no less from ; star of the BBC radio pro gramme, Just a Minute.
