CONCERN about the availability of the new booking forms which will be required when the changeover to local booking of hgv tests takes place has been expressed to the Department of the Environment by the Freight Transport Association. The new booking system is due to commence operation during January.
The FTA has also queried whether the changeover to new forms will take place on a specified date or whether there will be a phased changeover period. If a single date changeover is decided upon, then there should be considerable advance publicity about the new scheme and the availability of the new forms, the Association says.
