• The operations of Scout Motor Services Ltd. are to be absorbed by Ribble Motor Services Ltd. and its. Blackpool subsidiary, W. C. Standerwick Ltd., next Friday.
Scout's 84 employees and 47 vehicles will be split between the two remaining operating companies. Most of the coaches will go to Standerwick and the buses to Ribble.
Both Ribble and Scout began operations in Preston in 1919, although Standerwick was established in Blackpool in 1908.
