• AEC was awarded the Automobile Club de France cup for driving-cab design at the Paris International Motor Show. The prizewinning Ergomatic cab was featured on an AEC Monarch rigid four-wheeler displayed by S. E. Willeme, which sells AEC trucks and fits AEC engines to its own trucks in France. The award was the only honour to be gained by a British manufacturer in the commercial vehicle section of the Show.
