Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Long Platform Lorry. Special Hood. Three-way Tipper. Sweeper and Collector.

STAND No. 61.

THE three great novelties on this stand are (1) a Karrier Snperbe notor coach to accommodate 28 passen;erg, equipped with the new patent Karrier hood, which, instead of folding -n the rear end of the vehicle, folds down to the off side, being enclosed in a box; (2) the new S.K, model chassis, giving 2 -ft. longer platform space on the same wheelbase; and (3) the new three-way

tipper. Besides these, there are the Karrier patent road sweeper and collector, and the K.4 type chassis, which is capable of taking a four ton net load.

To deal with these in order, the new hood on the motor coach is stretched longitudinally from end to end on three runners, each supported by two triplearm linked stanchions. To the near-side arms are attached short locking rods, which engage with studs secured to the backs i of the first seat and the last seat but o e. When the hood is up, these rods leing released, the hood pivots •on the cqntrai arm of each stanchion and folds 1own to the off side, being concealed in the box which forms the top rail of the coach body. It can be raised or loscered by one man in five seconds, and after being clipped only requires to have fhe rear and front flaps buttoned in plaCe.

The new three-way tipper is shown on a 5 ton K.5 chassis. The tipping gear is operated hydraulically by a pump driven by friction from the flywheel of the engine. Two rams oscillate on their pins in a toggle bar disposed across the chassis *frame. and the body can, by these ameans, be tipped to: the end or to either side.

The increased platform space on the S. model is obtained by placing the driver beside the rearward portion of the engine, and by taking the steering column and the brake and gear levers entirely outside of the frame.

A cover is placed over the rear portion of the engine, and the driver's seat is continued over this to the other side of the cab. The cab will comfortably hold three men, and will, even carry four men. The extra 2 ft. obtained with this vehicle would offer great advantage to a buyer who wished to use this chassis for removing furniture or as the 'base of a bus body.

The patent road sweeper and collector has been improved in some of its details, and is shown with a side-tipping refuse receptacle.By dividing the brush, the dust .sweeping is performed more antis. fachorily.
