NEW ZEALAND will be the next overseas country to receive AEC's tilt-cab export commercial vehicles—an order worth almost Elm. has been placed for 80 heavy-duty truck chassis which will be shipped out CKD for assembly in Auckland. Delivery is scheduled to begin in January of 38 Mammoth Major six-wheel and 42 Mammoth Major eight-wheel long-wheelbase chassis powered by the AEC AV760 diesel engine. All the chassis will be fitted with Clayton exhaust brakes, six-speed overdrive gearboxes, and the six-wheelers will also have auxiliary gearboxes providing extra reduction ratios.
