Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• NFC Distribution Division is being renamed Exel Logistics in a bid to give it a clearer identity to its customers.

Three of its operating subsidiaries — NC CS, NFC Contract Distribution and Alpine — are also being retagged: NCCS becomes Exel Logistics Consumer and Industrial; Contract Distribution is to be called Grocery and leisure; while Alpine, together with NFC's other chilled carrier Tempco Union, comes under the banner Temperature Controlled Services.

ChiHow, Fashionflow, Newsflow and Masterspeed keep their existing names, but the NFC name is also being dropped from all subsidiaries' trading names.

NFC says the new name stresses to customers that "distribution is about more than just trucks; it is about logistics management."
