SCOTTISH LA Alexar Birnie is retiring at the en July.
Mr Birnie has been SI tish LA and chairman of traffic commissioners cc for nearly 14 years and area under his jurisdict covered all of Scotland and Western Isles.
As LA and traffic corm sioner, Mr Birnie has been ponsible for granting, tern ating and curtailing ; otherwise modifying OE tors licences.
He is well known throu out the country's transport dustry for his fairness impartiality.
After working at the N istry of Transport in Lom Mr Birnie was appointed puty commissioner of Traffic Court of Scotian*: 1963 and became Coma sioner 18 months later.
