Haulage arm of Grimers to sell assets

THE HAULAGE arm of Linosbased Grimers Transport has called in administrator Begbies Traynor following what it describes as years of weakening business at the hands of foreign competition.

"With the collapse in demand for commercial property, and the director having considered his fiduciary duties, Begbies was appointed," a Begbies spokeswoman says.

The firm had been hoping to sell its Wakefield site in order to help keep the business going, but Is transport arm ceased trading on 5 May.

Chartered surveyor Eddisons will hold an online auction between 22-24 June for the company assets. For more information, contact Eddisons on 01132 430101.
