Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWO new 8-ton heavy-duty chassis'. one for medium-wheelbase tipper work, the other designed to accommodate 211 ft.-long bodies—are announced today as additions to the Bedford TK range. The tipper chassis has a 138 in. wheelbase, and can be mounted with a 7 cu. yd., 12 ft.-long body with front-end gear, or a 14 ft. body for lighter density loads. The 193 in. wheelbase is for operators requiring extra-long load space.

Both chassis have a 28,000 lb. gross vehicle weight and are similar in specification to the existing Bedford TK 8-ton heavy-duty models. They are powered by the 400 cu. in.. 131 b.h.p., 6-cylinder diesel engine driving through a 14 in.diameter clutch and a 5-speed synchromesh gearbox with overdrive top.

A 20,000 lb. single-speed rear axle is standard equipment, with a two-speed axle of the same rating available as an optional extra. The new front axle is rated at 9,600 lb.

Standard tyre equipment is 9.00-20, I4-ply rating on three-piece eight-stud wheels and both vehicles are fitted with the redesigned seats introduced recently Ott all TK models.
