international group of the RHA unanimously agreed that greater simplification of import documentation would facilitate
the quicker turn-round of trailers. A special survey is therefore being Made of all aspects of customs' import documentation with particular reference to possible ways of simplifying existing forms; the reduction of the number of forms through amalgamation; and the introduction of a standard procedure for regular and frequent importation of the same class of goods.
Shipping and forwarding members of the group will play a major part in the collation of information on the basis of which suitable recommendations will be submitted to H. M. Customs and Excise.
