Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Renault is launching factorybuilt three-axle versions of its G range and Major (formerly R range) 4x2 tractors.

Until now 6x2s have only been available as conversions from independent suppliers, Three-axle G range tractors will now be produced at Renault's Blainville factory. The Major, which comes in 283kW (380hp) and 254kW (340hp) versions, is built at Bourg-enBresse, but will be fitted with its third axle at Dunstable. Both 6x2s are initially expected to be available only in the UK.

Renault is also revamping the G range. It will be given a new name and its ageing dashboard is likely to be facelifted. Power is expected to go up from 246kW (330hp) to 254kW (340hp) with four-bag air suspension as standard.

This follows the Major's revamp at the end of last year (CM 24-30 Jan) when it was given a new instrument panel and restyled cab, with the option of a Highliner air-deflector package.

Renault has been rebadging all of its models for the panEuropean market: the highest powered AE tractor, for example, is now designated as the Magnum.

0 An automatic clutch for Renault's municipal and urban distribution vehicles, together with some other transmission improvements, are expected in the autumn.
