AS part of a new drive to urge the necessity of developing .a modern road system in the United Kingdom, the Roads Campaign Council haS published a 32-page booklet called New Roads for Old." Some 30,000 copies are to be Sent to members of Parliament, local authorities, industrialists and trade union leaders.
The contents are largely abstracted from papers presented to the Institute of Civil Engineers at a conference on "The Highway Needs of Britain."
