winding-up of NoUs and Lines Transport, Ltd., of Cclwick Road, Not-, tingham, presented by Harry Smith. Bank Cottage, Spital Hill, Retford, Notts, h au I age contractor, was adjourned for a fortnight by Mr. Justice Vaisey, in the Chancery Division, on Monday.

Mr. H. H. Monroe, for the petitioner, said that there were two supporting creditors. There was an opposing creditor for a large sum. He was a principal shareholder. The company wanted art adjournment because there was a proposal to pay the petitioner's debt by instalments.

Mr. R. Instone, for the company and the shareholder in question, said that the shareholder was a loan creditor for more than 130,000. Other creditors with debts of £15,000 had agreed to payment by instalments, the first of which had been paid. The company wished to make arrangements with the Inland Revenue.

Mr. M. Berkeley, for the Commissioners of Inland Revenue, said he did not oppose an adjournment, but he expected some arrangement to be made to pay the Inland Revenue debt which was for P.A.Y.E. income tax.
