A FTER a long period of office as ripresident of the Motor Hirers and Coach Services Association, Mr. H. T. Rickards resigned from that position, at the annual general meeting of the Association, on Monday. On behalf of the Association, a presentation was made to Mr. Rickards by Major J. B. Elliott, the chairman.

Mr. Rickards was a leading personality in the Association from the earliest days, when it was a section of the Motor Trade Association, and it was as a result of his decision that. the the section became a separate entity. Although there have been many. changes, Mr. Rickards has always remained at the head of the Association and has presided at all important
