A TRUCK DRIVER who admitted smuggling almost E700,000 of cocaine into the UK was jailed for nine years last week.

Canterbury Crown Court heard that Clayton-le-Moors, Lancashire-based Craig John Wardleworth was found to have the cocaine in his truck as he drove through Dover's Eastern Docks in May.

The driver also had a small bag of amphetamines in his cab and admitted the importation of both cocaine and amphetamines.
