Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A NEW TYPE of reusable air filter has been developed by Ribo of Ferndown Industrial Estate, Dorset.

The filter is claimed to be suitable for all kinds of motor vehicles, compressors, plant and machinery powered by petrol or diesel engines, and uses foam instead of paper.

Ribo said that, with normal maintenance, the ability of the filter to be cleaned and reused will give it an indefinite life.

The design consists of a laminate of two types of foam fitted in a perforated steel cage.

The outer membrane is designed to trap larger particles while the inner and more dense layer is intended to prevent the ingress of fine dust.

The foam elements are impregnated with oil to minimise the risk of moisture build-up.
