• Member companies of CETI, the European consortium of international removal companies, have registered a marked increase in the volume of household removals carried out with containers between European countries.
During the three months ending October 31 the aggregate volume climbed to a figure of 1,250,000lb (567,000kg) handled by 129 containers of the standard 20ft and 40ft ISO types.
Plans by CETI to operate a fleet of ISO containers for the greater convenience and operational efficiency of its members are said to be well advanced.
