Vestalin Enamel.

An en amel particularly suited for protecting exposed parts of the machine is that Marketed by Hall's Autopaint and Varnish Co., 175, St.. Pancras Road, N.W. It is claimed to be a. very satisfactory protective medium for preventing rusting up. It dries hard, with a very brilliant finish, without. storing, within eight to TO hours. It is very elastic, so that driving " flexes " and springs, and any other parts subj,.:.' .d to vibration, may be coated with entire satisfaction. The enamel does not crack, chip or blister, and being air drying, enables any part, providing it be thoroughly

D4 cleaned, effectively to be fronted. Other productions of these paint specialists are : Broadmead " Fle.xo " hub paint.; revivers for all kinds of leather ; engine enamel; " Glosset " for wood work ; aluminium paint ; also a black paint, suited for covering exhaust pipes in that it will withstand a high degree of heat.

A Portable Heating Stove.

We bring before the notice of our readers the safety form of portable stove winch is marketed by Hunt's, Ltd., 117, Long Acre, W.C. This stove is of the slow combustion type, and when in use, it is stated, gives off no smoke Or smell. A special grade of fuel is used, known as " Carbotron." The stove requires very little attention when once filled up.

The makers state that it is very economical in use, and the cost of fuel is something between 2d. and 6d per day per stove, according to size. This accessory should be of particular use for garages and establishments where petrol or other inflammable fuels are being stored.

We understand that many fire-insurance companies recommend this form of heating apparatus.

Water Feed-pumps for the Steam Wagon,

Messrs. Lei. W. Richardson and Son, Skew Bridge Works, Patricroft, Manchester, are makers, of long standing, of all classes of steam pumps, both for stationary use and for installation in steam wagons.

The construction of the pumps is of the highest quality. The main body of the equipment is cast. in close-grained cast iron, and the is fitted with a heavy gunmetal liner. The piston itself is of gunmetal, and the rod, pump junk-rings and waterrings are made in phosphor bronze.

All parts in contact with water are, of course, made in either brass or bronze. All glands are particularly accessible for packing and may be tightened up with out fear of jamming the piston-rod.

Our illustration depicts a Richardson horizontalpattern pump suitable for steam-wagon work, and the pump-valve sizes are 21 ins. by 11 in. by 4 ins. The pump is fitted with a detachable valve-box.
