THE NIGHTRIDER sleeper conversion to the Volvo F86-49 cab presented an interesting matching problem to Locomotors Ltd of Barlows Lane, Andover, Hants, due to the heavy double curvature of the roof skin.

To complete the modification to the chassis cab, which is n8w in service with Ciba Geigy Agro-Chemical Division, rolled and beaten steel panels were utilised at the side cant-rail. Side windows were not fitted as the already large rear quarter windows provide ample vision.
