Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LEYLAND'S light and medium commercial vehicle works at Bathgate have been crippled by another unofficial strike.

Production of its range of lorries and agricultural tractors has been suspended following a wages dispute amongst 1,500 machinists.

The men, who are looking for increased payments to operate new machine tools, went on strike on Tuesday of last week. Production has been stopped, and 2,000 production workers were laid off from this week.

A Leyland Vehicles spokesman told CM this week that the company hoped to establish a meeting to discuss the dispute.
