the CV Show is any kind of barometer for the state of the industry, then we can all expect a good year ahead.
Last week's event was a huge success and, if I'm not mistaken, the crowds were back up to their pre-2008 levels.
And it was good to see so many vehicle launches too, including no less than 13 new vans, UK premieres from all the truck makers and world premieres of the Volvo FM and Daf LF and CF. They have all helped to put the CV Show on the map, and reconfirm its position as a major international event.
The CV Show was also a great opportunity for me to talk to CM readers, and plenty of you had lots to say. Apparently my 'Name and shame leader (CM 4 April) struck a chord with lots of you and I was inundated with Vosa horror stories. But unfortunately only one of the tales recalled was on the record.

Finally, congratulations to Roly Pinches, who has won a trip for two to the Las Vegas truck show, courtesy of CM. He was one of six people who rolled four sixes on our craps table at the CV Show, and his name was randomly drawn from the editor's hat. I just hope he realises that it's customary in these situations to invite the CM editor!
