• Road hauliers in the North-East are joining operators in East Anglia and Kent in the theft-busting Truckwatch scheme. The Road Haulage Association's North East district office has set up two fax rings in County Durham and Cleveland with 12 hauliers. It hopes to expand to West Yorkshire this week, and to double the number of companies involved.
