• An excursion and tours licence to run between Morecambe and Heysham North Quay was granted to Norwest Hovercraft Ltd. to serve its hovercraft services. Passengers for the sea journey will travel free but those wishing solely to view the craft will be charged. It will operate between Easter and the end of October.
