NO LESS a topic than the future for road transport is to be examined at next month's institute of Transport Administration annual conference.
Road Haulage Association director general Freddie Plaskett is the speaker tackling this subject and he will be followed by IBM's Bob Parker who promises a contentious and provocative paper on computers in transport. Linear induction motor inventor Professor Eric Laithwaite from Imperial College of Science and Technology is the final speaker.
The conference is at the Polygon Hotel, Southampton and runs from Friday, October 7 to Sunday, October 9.
