Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Bus and Metal Sections Ltd to give operators delivery early next year.

Operators can buy the body either in kit form and assemble it completely with their own labour, or with the exterior partially finished.

With a two-year wait to have chassis bodied by the usual UK bodybuilders, Metal Sections are hoping to attract orders from customers anxious to jump the queue. The complete bus is also likely to be about £1,500 cheaper than using existing bodybuilders.• Although marketing the bus is to be done jointly by Ailsa and Metal Sections it is not an exclusive agreement. Metsec will still be able to body other chassis should the operators require this.

Ailsa hopes that operators who at present rebuild old buses for a few years extended life will instead buy a Metsec kit to build a complete new vehicle.

The Ailsa/Metsec bus is designed to be flexible to incorporate the various individual requirements of operators while matntaining as far as possible the benefits of standardisation.
