PLEADING guilty to 30 summonses for contravention of the 25-mile limit and five for making false entries in returns made to British Road Services, Mountford Bros. (Haulage Contractors), Ltd., 266 Werrington Road, Bucknall, Were fined a total of £88 8s., with costs, at Hanley last week.

Frederick Mountford; 43 Central Avenue, Bucknall, managing director of the company, was fined 12 on each of five summonses for aiding and abetting

Mr. Mountford, who worked from Bucknall, could not watch loads being picked up elsewhere, In making, out the returns, he had used the phrase "scrap metals" without intent to deceive, having taken it from drivers' records.
