• Minibus specialist Carlyle Group has gone into voluntary liquidation, making around 160 staff redundant.
Liquidator Ernst & Young is looking for a buyer for the assets of the West Midlands-based firm which has already ceased trading. A piecemeal sale of the 40-year-old group will be considered.
The group comprises minibus and welfare manufacturer Carlyle Vehicles; the PCV repair and servicing arm Carlyle Engineering Services; and the 40vehicle hire firm and secondhand dealer Carlyle Bus Centre.
