All those in the Metropolitan Area will be held at the Royal Society of •Arts, John Adam Street, London, VV.C.2, at 6.30 p.m., with the possible exception of the address after the annual 'meeting on November 6.

They are as follows:—October 23: "Ideas Exchange and Mart "; November 6: Address by Capt. J. B Walton, M.I.R.T.E. following the second annual general meeting; November 27: "Tyres and Steering Geometry," by a Dunlop speaker; December 18: "The Application of Rubber Bonding to Commercial Vehicles," A. I. Hirst, B.Sc., A.M.I.Mech.E ; January 22, 1948: " Ideas Exchange and Mart "; February 26: Factors Influencing the Selection of Road Transport Vehicles," E. G. Fitzcombe, A.M I.R.T E.; March 18: "Gas Turbines," E L. Bass, F.R.Ae.Sa M.I.Mech.E., F.1.P.; April 15: "Brains Trust in Reverse."

For the " Ideas Exchange and Mart," members will submit short papers, limited to five minutes, on personal research and practice. In the "Brains Trust in Reverse," a panel of members will invite questions to be sent to the secretary, and „those selected will be addressed to tp4i.open meeting. . Winter programmes are also being drafted by the. hoa. secretaries of the Institute's Centres, merhbers of which will receive notices of their particular meetings.
