DIVERSIFICATION from its core warehousing and distribution business into servicing and engineering has helped Ipswich haulage firm Debach Enterprise back into the black.

The company, which has completed its integration of repair and maintenance firm 1st Call Transport Engineering, posted a 7% increase in turnover in the 12 months ending 30 June 2005 to £10.4m; up from £9,7m the year before. Its pre-tax profit was also up, to £473,921,compared with a loss of £70,414 in the previous 12 months, Debach Enterprise employs 107 staff and offers 70,000nf of warehousing space.

The directors say that in the light of investment in new facilities and the firm's membership of the PalletForce network, they expect the growth to continue next year.
