I write in response to Kevin Buck's letter in last week's CM headed "Forget LRUC — rely on fuel duty" (CM 10 November).
He suggests that foreign vehicles should only carry a nominal amount of fuel when they enter the country I think he's almost right, hut my suggestion would be that all vehicles leaving Great Britain should do so with a nearly full tank of fuel.
That seems to me to solve the problem that he describes.
