Boughey Distribution, has bought Wigan-based grocery distributor R.N Bolton for about 22m.
Derek Cook, managing director of NWF Group, says Boughey has long been wanting to expand its operation out of its Wardle, Cheshire warehouse and RN Bolton complements its grocery interests.
The purchase forms a combined fleet of more than 100 vehicles and a total annual turnover of £10m for the distribution arm of the business. All staff will keep their jobs and both firms will continue to trade under separate identities.
