UK COMMERCIAL vehic sales at 22,836 units rose 161/2 per cent in Octob compared with Otober 1977.
During the first 10 mont this year, sales totallil 222,755 were 17.81 per ce higher than in the same peni of last year, according to i formation just released by t Society of Motor Manufa turers and Traders.
Importers took 21.49 p cent of the market compar with 17.66 per cent in Octob 1977.

This compares with tl figures for British-producâ– vehicles of 64,238 and 57,6 respectively.
