k DECISION expected last week on the future of the Warring:on operation of Shelliway Transport Ltd (CM, Nov 10) was postponed because of further talks between representatives of management and the Transport and General Workers Union.
The performance of the 13 drivers at Warrington has been monitored by Shelliway's management since the end of a recent five-week strike over a pay claim. Managing director Alec McDade said that if performance at Warrington failed to improve sufficiently the depot would be closed and operations centralised at their associated company's depot at Tingley, near Wakefield.
