Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Three months ago Bedford claimed a double first when Rascal/Suzuki Super Carry micro van production began at Luton. The General Motors subsidiary has high hopes for first year sales figures for the first micro van and pick-up range to be built in Britain, but how realistic are they? To find out if the new micros really do cut the mustard we have been out thoroughly testing two of them, a fourspeed Suzuki pick-up and five-speed Rascal van.

• We have taken a close look at one of the lightest three-axled tipper chassis cabs on the market, Bedford's '112440 6x4, with the 8.2-litre turbocharged Fuller RTX 6609 gearbox and 6.50:1 Eaton 401 tandem bogie on Norde rubber suspension.

• Hotfoot from Harrogate, our reporters pick out the most significant exhibits and comments from the twentieth R1-1.4 tipper convention and exhibition.

• We also preview the next major show of the year, the 1RTE's Solihull display, which will be held on May 22 and 23.
