current SK cab is getting a little long in the tooth. This is just as well as Merc's long-awaited replacement heavy truck cab will not break cover until 1996 (CM 20-26 January). Facelifted versions of the SK cabin will arrive in the summer.
If you want a Eurocab be prepared to pay £2,500 extra on a G sleeper or £3,500 on the narrower L cab.
Volvo's streamlined FH range has attracted plenty of attention since its launch last year. While the old F cab has been consigned to the history books the high-roof Globetrotter option has survived, with smoother and sleeker looks. You can have a Globetrotter on two and three-axle FH12 and FH16 tractors; with intermediate C trim it adds £3,000 to the cost of an FH sleeper chassis. A Globetrotter with the luxury CD interior carries a premium of £4,750.
