Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LONDON Regional Transport-style bodies to co-ordinate local bus and rail services in other parts of England and Wales were suggested last weekend by the chairman of the rail-watchdog Central Transport Consultancy Committee, Alison Munroe.

NINE full time coach drivers at Shearings Salopia in Whitchurch, Shropshire, have been made redundant following Associated Leisure's takeover of Shearings' parent Altrinchambased company.

An Associated Leisure spokesman said: "We knew the company wasn't making any money." Mrs Munroe said that operators should get together on a regional level and show what they could offer, avoiding duplication and waste.

The regional bodies could be on the basis of a number of counties. Among the duties would be the production of regional public transport timetables.
