HAULAGE TRAFFIC through Dover harbour has started 1984 as it continued through last year. It is up by over 15 per cent on January 1983.
The leap of 15.31 per cent meant that 58,265 units (a tractive unit and semi-trailer counts as two units) passed through the port, a rise of 7,737.
Other roll-on/roll-off freight was up by 7.84 per cent, and there was a 10.93 per cent increase in the tonnes of cargo handled.
