AN APPLICATION by Sidney Bates (Removals) Ltd., of Gerrards Cross, for an additional furniture van to be added to a singlevan A licence for any-distance furniture removals has been refused by the Metropolitan LA, Mr. D. I. R. Muir.
Mr. Muir said in a written decision that the firm had another removals business to cope with work it could not manage itself and that objectors said there was "a marked slackening of business in this specialized field."
EAST MIDLAND LA MOVES
THE East Midland Licensing Authority's offices have been moved from Castle Gate to 13irbeck House, 14-16 Trinity Square, Nottingham (tel. 45511). From March 28 the Birbeck House courtroom will be used.
