NEW A.NTI-CORROSIVES • Two new anti-corrosive preparations 1 have been introduced by the Pyrene Co., Ltd., Brentford, :Middlesex, and Clear Glass Products, Ltd, Southampton. The Pyrene product is known as Preperite, the other company's as Glopane.

• Preperite removes corrosion from iron, steel and aluminium and its alloys. Glopane is a cold-galvanizing coating made to protect metals against corrosion. Either substance can be applied by brush, spray or dip. When Preperite is used to protect steel parts before storage or export, nb rinsing is needed after application. Rinsing, however, is essential before Bonderiving or similar processes are carried out.

Glopane can be applied on surfaces not chemically clean, even over rust, which, it is claimed, will not creep under the coat.
