TRYING TO GET FIT

In an effort to lure today's notoriously inactive youth away from their computer game consoles and get some good clean fresh air down their lungs, the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats team has started up a Rugby in the Community scheme, which worthy enterprise is being supported by local van and truck dealer Chatfieids of Leeds.

To get the scheme mobile, Chatfields has supplied an LDV convoy minibus. Sales director Clive Wilson is pictured (right) handing the keys through the window to Wakefield Wildcats assistant coach John Harbin. In his capacity as the Wildcats' youth development officer, John, together with his coaching team, now visits around 400 schoolchildren a week in the Wakefield area.

Recently promoted to the Superleague, the Wildcats are only too pleased to have the opportunity to reach more youngsters with the rugby-centred health and fitness programme. And as John explains: "Our work is not about teaching kids aggressive rugby tactics—it's about promoting health and fitness through sport. Thanks to Chattelds we can now reach schoolchildren and youth groups across the region."
